Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how AWBAH may collect, access, use, store, disclose, retain, or destroy personal data, the purposes and legal bases for processing, and the rights available to data subjects.

Depending on how the service is used, this Policy applies to the AWBAH application, the website and e-commerce store at awbah.com, product availability notifications, purchases and orders, customer support, and other AWBAH-related services.

Data Minimization

AWBAH aims to collect and process only the minimum personal data reasonably necessary for a specified purpose.

The first version of the AWBAH application does not require users to create an account or sign in to use its core functions and does not require a name, phone number, or email address for those core functions.

Different information may be required when using the online store, placing an order, contacting customer support, or requesting a product availability notification.

Legal Bases for Processing

AWBAH processes personal data using the legal basis appropriate to each processing activity.

AWBAH may rely on the data subject's consent for optional features, including location permissions, health information, notifications, and certain communication or availability-notification features.

Personal data may also be processed where necessary to take steps requested by a customer, complete a purchase, fulfill and deliver an order, or provide related customer service.

Certain information may also be processed or retained where required to comply with applicable legal, financial, accounting, or regulatory obligations.

Where consent is the legal basis for processing, the user may withdraw consent at any time unless another lawful basis permits or requires continued processing.

Location Data in the Application

AWBAH may request permission to access device location when the user selects a feature that requires location, such as prayer times or Qibla direction.

The data used is the device's location to the extent necessary to provide the requested feature.

Location information is obtained through the device operating system after the user grants the relevant permission.

Under the current design of the first version, AWBAH does not create a history of the user's background movements and does not send application location data to AWBAH servers.

Users may refuse or later withdraw location permission through their device settings. Certain location-dependent functions may then become unavailable or less accurate.

Health Data in the Application

The “Your Health” feature is completely optional.

If the user chooses to connect health information, the application may request read access to selected data types available on the device according to the relevant feature, including:

Steps
Walking or running distance
Active energy
Sleep
Resting heart rate
Blood oxygen saturation where available

On iOS, health information may be read from Apple Health / HealthKit.

On Android, health information may be read through Health Connect where available.

The purpose of processing is to display general health and wellness indicators and provide general summaries and guidance to the user within AWBAH.

Health data is sensitive personal data. Access is therefore optional and subject to the user's permission.

Under the current design of the first version:

Health information is accessed only when the user chooses to activate the relevant feature.

AWBAH requests only the data types necessary for the disclosed feature.

AWBAH does not write new health information to HealthKit or Health Connect in the first version.

AWBAH does not send health information to AWBAH servers under the current design.

Health information is not used for advertising, marketing, or advertising profiles.

AWBAH does not sell health information or share it with data brokers.

Users may revoke health permissions at any time through their device or connected health-service settings.

AWBAH provides general wellness and fitness information only. It is not a medical service provider and does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or medical decisions.

AWBAH Assistant

In the first version, AWBAH Assistant operates through local application rules and functions and does not send user content to an external artificial intelligence provider under the current design.

The Assistant may locally use information entered or enabled by the user, including manually recorded prayer progress, Adhkar progress, the last Quran reading position, Tasbeeh counter information, and certain “Your Health” data where the user has permitted access.

AWBAH Assistant provides general summaries, reminders, and guidance relating to habits, worship, and general wellness.

It does not provide binding religious rulings, medical diagnoses, medical treatment, or medical decisions.

Data Stored Locally on the Device

The AWBAH application may locally store certain settings and information on the user's device, including:

Last Quran reading position
Font-size preference
Adhkar progress
Tasbeeh counter and goal
Prayer tracking
Notification preferences
Application settings
Onboarding completion status
Health-feature connection status

This information is used to operate the selected application functions and restore their state on the user's device.

Under the first-version design, AWBAH does not maintain a server-side user-account database or server-side copies of application health or location data.

Notifications

Users may choose whether to enable notifications, including prayer, Adhkar, Friday, or other notifications offered by the application.

Under the current design, notifications in the first version are scheduled locally on the device.

Users may disable notifications from within the application or through their operating-system settings.

Online Store

When using the AWBAH online store at awbah.com, different personal data may be processed depending on the action taken by the user.

When a customer makes a purchase or places an order, information may include:

Name
Phone number
Email address where requested or provided
Delivery address
City and region
Shipping and delivery information
Products ordered
Order value
Order status
Invoice information
Information required by applicable law

This information is used to create and manage the order, complete the transaction, communicate with the customer, deliver products, provide customer support and after-sales service, and comply with applicable legal and financial obligations.

“Notify Me When Available”

When the user selects a product availability notification, the store may request information such as a name, email address, or phone number depending on the configuration of the form.

This information is used to provide the product availability notification or communication requested by the user.

The user may request that these communications stop or request destruction of the associated personal data where legally applicable by contacting:

[email protected]

Payments

Payment information may be processed through payment service providers used by the store according to the payment method selected by the customer.

AWBAH does not ask customers to send full payment-card information or card security codes through email or customer-support channels.

Payment service providers are subject to the regulatory, privacy, and security requirements applicable to their services.

Technical Website and Store Data

The e-commerce platform and associated service providers may process technical information necessary to operate and secure the website, including:

IP address
Device type
Browser type
Session information
Security logs
Cookies and similar technologies
Technical information relating to website performance, fraud prevention, and errors

This information may be used to operate the store, secure transactions and services, prevent abuse or fraud, and maintain or improve service performance where necessary.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

The AWBAH online store may use cookies or similar technologies required for session management, shopping-cart functionality, security, performance, and features provided by the e-commerce platform.

Additional analytics or marketing technologies may be introduced in the future. If so, AWBAH will review and implement the disclosures and consent requirements applicable to those technologies.

Users may control cookies through their browser settings. Disabling certain necessary cookies may prevent some store functions from operating properly.

Customer Support and Communications

If a user contacts AWBAH through email, a contact form, or another approved support channel, AWBAH may process contact details, the content of the inquiry, and information reasonably necessary to investigate and respond to the request.

Users should avoid sending unnecessary sensitive personal information when contacting customer support.

Sharing With Service Providers

AWBAH does not sell personal data or health data.

The minimum personal data necessary to provide a service may be disclosed to service providers that require the information for that purpose, including, where applicable:

Zid, as the e-commerce platform.

Payment service providers for payment processing.

Shipping and delivery providers for fulfillment and delivery.

Communication or messaging providers where necessary to send service-related notifications.

Technical and security service providers required to operate and protect the website.

Government, regulatory, or judicial authorities where disclosure is required under applicable law.

Under the current first-version application design, application health and location data is not provided to shipping companies, payment providers, or the e-commerce platform for the purpose of operating the application.

International Data Transfers

Under the current design of the first version of the application, application health and location data remains locally on the user's device and is not sent to AWBAH servers.

The e-commerce platform, payment providers, shipping providers, or technical service providers may use different infrastructure or processors.

If the use of a service results in personal data being transferred outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the transfer will be handled in accordance with the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law, its Implementing Regulations, and applicable requirements governing transfers of personal data outside the Kingdom.

Data Retention and Destruction

AWBAH does not retain personal data for longer than reasonably necessary to achieve the purpose for which it was collected unless another lawful basis requires or permits continued retention.

Local application information remains on the user's device for as long as necessary to provide the relevant function or until the user deletes the application or its data.

Under the current first-version design, AWBAH does not retain a server-side copy of application health or location data.

Store and order information is retained for the period necessary to fulfill the order, provide customer service, administer returns or warranties, and comply with applicable financial, accounting, and legal requirements.

Information provided through “Notify Me When Available” is retained until the notification purpose ends, consent is withdrawn, or destruction is requested where applicable, unless another lawful basis requires retention.

When the purpose and lawful basis for retention no longer exist, personal data will be deleted, destroyed, or anonymized using measures appropriate to the nature of the information and applicable requirements.

Data Subject Rights

Under the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law and its Implementing Regulations, data subjects may exercise applicable rights relating to their personal data, including:

The right to be informed of the legal basis and purpose of collecting and processing personal data.

The right to access personal data held by the Controller.

The right to request a copy of personal data in a readable and clear format in accordance with applicable requirements.

The right to request correction, completion, or updating of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.

The right to request destruction of personal data where legally applicable.

The right to withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis for processing, unless another lawful basis permits or requires continued processing.

To exercise any applicable privacy right, contact the Personal Data Protection Officer at:

[email protected]

AWBAH may request reasonable information to verify the identity of a person making a request before acting on a request relating to personal data.

Requests to exercise rights will be handled without undue delay and within a period not exceeding 30 days from receipt of a complete request.

Where implementation requires unexpected or unusual additional effort, or where multiple requests are received from the same data subject, this period may be extended by no more than an additional 30 days, provided that the data subject is notified in advance of the extension and the reasons for it, in accordance with applicable requirements.

No fee will generally be charged for exercising these rights except where permitted by applicable law.

Complaints and Objections

A data subject may submit a privacy inquiry, complaint, or objection to the AWBAH Personal Data Protection Officer at:

[email protected]

The complaint will be reviewed and addressed in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

If the data subject is dissatisfied with the response or believes that their personal data has been processed in violation of the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law, they may submit a complaint to the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) through its official channels or the National Data Governance Platform in accordance with applicable procedures.

Children and Minors

AWBAH does not specifically design the “Your Health” feature for children and does not create child accounts or server-side child health profiles in the first version.

If features specifically intended for minors are introduced in the future, applicable legal, consent, and app-store requirements will be reviewed before those features are released.

Data Security

AWBAH applies organizational and technical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the personal data and associated risks.

AWBAH's privacy principles include data minimization, local processing where reasonably possible, limiting application permissions, not using health information for advertising, and limiting store-data sharing to providers reasonably necessary to provide the requested service.

No electronic system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Security safeguards are therefore reviewed according to the nature of the services and changes made to them.

Future Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated when AWBAH's services or personal-data processing activities change.

The Policy and applicable compliance requirements will be reviewed before introducing features that may materially change processing, including:

The AWBAH wristband
User accounts
Cloud synchronization
Server-side storage of health information
External artificial intelligence providers
External analytics
Advertising technologies
New processors or service providers

If a material change is made to the way personal data is processed, AWBAH will update relevant disclosures and obtain any required consents before the new processing begins where required by applicable law.
